Red frosting, BIG mess!

The joys of a 3 year old who loves to cook! We made strawberry shortcake cookies... RED FROSTING. Which is what you see here. I am trying to get into more 'artsy' looking images. Not always those crystal clear eyes, or face/full body shots. Sometimes life calls for something a little bit different to tell the story completely. I feel this image does just that. I wished it wasn't tilted so much... I guess I could have fixed that, but...

Who says Winter lacks colour?

My daughters beg to differ.
We rummaged through our winter hats/mittens bench at home today and what did we find? Yep. These beautiful vivid color hats. Our oldest loves to try things on, so she was all up for it. Little one however, was much less than cooperative. She isn't game for things on her head. And apparently, it shows, lol.

Taken with the d50. 50mm lens. f2.8/SS 180, I think? And ISO at 400. Patio sliding door behind me.

Day "6" (MY day 1)

Here is an old photograph, many have already seen, I'm sure. But, it's one of my absolute favorites of my then 2.5 year old daughter. Taken on a rainy Wisconsin Spring day, my daughter and I decided after a session of 'dress up' to run out and get the mail. She did not want to end our journey and go back inside, so this was her 'protest'... adorable. I will take that attidude anyday.

"Project 365"... A picture a day

Today is the day I start the project of posting a picture a day. It is only 1 of my 2 business oriented goals for 2007, so lets see if I can keep it!

I've decided to join other Photographers in posting a picture each day for the remainder of the year. My hopes are that it teaches me A) How to define my style B) To grow with my talent and C) Learn from others.

I have 2 small children at home and have launched my own Photography Business, with this being my 2nd year of doing it full time. I hope to be able to KEEP up with this project!
